Compliance Objectives
National Incident Management System (NIMS) objectives are developed annually by FEMA’s National Integration Center (NIC) and provide the
foundation for effective management of emergencies and disasters in the State of Idaho. These objectives are based on lessons learned, with
each objective designed to enhance capability and support a coordinated and uniform approach to emergency management at all levels of
government and throughout the public and private sectors of our communities. Incorporating NIMS objectives into all preparedness, protection,
mitigation, response, and recovery activities bolsters the resilience of all Idahoans who may be faced with an emergency and/or disaster.
Note: NIMS compliance is directly linked to federal preparedness funding.
